DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE CONTRACTS VALUED AT $6.5 MILLION AND ABOVE

NAVY

AMSEC LLC, Virginia Beach, Va., is being awarded an $187,795,398 cost-plus-fixed-fee, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to furnish engineering, technical, repair and logistics support to afloat Navy surface ships and aircraft carriers. Under the terms of the contract, the company will identify material condition discrepancies; update and maintain configuration and availability report database systems; and develop or update onboard training and curriculum and conduct crew training. Work will be performed in various ship homeports throughout the world and is expected to complete by April 2015. Fiscal 2014 operations and maintenance, Navy and fiscal 2014 shipbuilding and conversion, Navy funding in the amount of $932,032 is being obligated at the time of award and will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured via the Navy Electronic Commerce Online website, with three offers received. The Norfolk Ship Support Activity, Norfolk, Va., is the contracting activity (N50054-14-D-1408).

Timken Gears & Services Inc., King of Prussia, Pa., is being awarded a $55,327,134 modification to previously awarded contract (N00024-10-C-2310) to exercise an option to procure two DDG 51 class main reduction gear (MRG) shipsets. The MRG is the set of gears that transmit the power from two main propulsion power turbines to the propulsion shaft. Each DDG 51 class destroyer has two gear sets, one for each propulsion shaft. The MRGs will be used for Arleigh Burke (DDG 51) class guided missile destroyers procured in fiscal 2014. The equipment procured via this acquisition effort will be provided as government furnished equipment to the DDG 51 class shipbuilders. Work will be performed in Santa Fe Springs, Calif. (68 percent); Riverside, Mo. (10 percent); New Castle, Del. (7 percent); Latrobe, Pa. (2 percent); St. Augustine, Fla. (1 percent); Spring Grove, Ill. (1 percent); Fitchburg, Mass. (1 percent); Corry, Pa. (1 percent); Erie, Pa. (1 percent); Antigo, Wis. (1 percent), other U.S. locations less than 1 percent (7 percent), and is expected to be completed by October 2016. Fiscal 2013 and 2014 shipbuilding and conversion, Navy contract funds in the amount of $55,327,134 will be obligated at time of award and will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington D.C., is the contracting activity.

L-3 KEO, Northampton, Mass., is being awarded a $14,982,884 modification to previously awarded contract (N00024-13-C-6265) to exercise options for the production of 16 universal modular masts (UMM). The UMM is a non-hull penetrating mast that is installed on Virginia-class submarines. Work will be performed in Bologna, Italy (74 percent), and Northampton, Mass. (26 percent), and is expected to be complete by May 2016. Fiscal 2014 shipbuilding and conversion, Navy contract funds in the amount of $14,982,884 will be obligated at time of award and will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Sysco Hampton Roads, Suffolk, Va., has been awarded a maximum $20,800,000 fixed-price with economic-price-adjustment, bridge contract for prime vendor food and beverage support. This is a sole source acquisition. Location of performance is Virginia with an Aug. 16, 2014 performance completion date. Using military services are Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard. Type of appropriation is fiscal 2014 defense working capital funds. The contracting activity is the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support, Philadelphia, Pa., (SPE300-14-D-3008).

Infrastructure Defense Technologies,* Belvidere, Ill., has been awarded a maximum $20,000,000 fixed-price with economic-price-adjustment, requirements contract for metal revetments. This is a competitive acquisition and one offer was received. This is a two-year base contract with three one-year option periods. Location of performance is Illinois with an April 3, 2016 performance completion date. Using military services are Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps. Type of appropriation is fiscal 2014 defense working capital funds. The contracting activity is the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support, Philadelphia, Pa.; (SPE8E6-14-D-0005).

L-3 Communications Aerospace LLC, Madison, Miss., was awarded a $24,728,566 modification (P00020) to contract W912NW-11-F-0101 for labor skilled in the inspection, maintenance, and repair of the CH-47, UH-60, UH-1, AH-1, AH-64 and OH-58 aircraft and aircraft components. Performance on other aircraft types will be mainly limited to crash damaged repair and some modernization. Fiscal 2014 other procurement funds in the amount of $24,728,566 were obligated at the time of the award. Estimated completion date is Oct. 28, 2014. Work is to be performed at the Corpus Christi Army Depot, Naval Air Station, Corpus Christi, Texas. Army Contracting Command, Corpus Christi, Texas.
