Defense contractors in Colorado Springs are already staking out positions to win contracts involving cybersecurity. Many defense contractors are either creating new business units that concentrate on cyberspace solutions or reorganizing to better position themselves to bid on this type of work. In many cases, cybersecurity work will start as add-ons to existing contracts.
The Air Force Space Command, which focuses on emerging and integrated space and cyberspace capabilities, is located at Peterson Air Force Base in Colorado.
