The Virginia Values Veterans (V3) Program is a Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Veterans Services Program whose mission is to educate and train employers throughout the Commonwealth on the value of Virginia’s veterans, and to help employers connect with these personnel assets to maximize the productivity of their workforce. They are committed to assisting employers recruit, hire, train, and retain veterans.

Whether your company wants training on how veterans can help your business, need resources and assistance connecting with veterans, or simply want to share your veteran hiring efforts with the rest of the Commonwealth, the V3 program is for you!

Nicole Anderson is the Regional Program Manager of Central Virginia, and works with employers to find qualified veterans for their openings jobs open in the state. She even works with employers headquartered out of state that are placing veterans in Virginia, teaching them  best practices in recruiting, hiring, and retaining employers.

She assists over 250 V3 certified employers with identifying sources of veteran job seekers and ways to ensure successful translation of skills and qualifications. Her team has over 1,000 employers in the program.

V3 develops partnerships with employers interested in joining the program and offers grants to companies that are certified. Virginia is proud to be able to invest in companies who have committed to hiring veterans. The knowledge, skills, and abilities today’s service members receive make them an extremely valuable talent pool for employers wishing to grow and improve organizational performance. In 2015, the General Assembly unanimously appropriated $500,000 for the purposes of establishing an employment grant for V3-certified employers.

Employer Qualifications :

 Must be a V3-Certified Company

 Must have an Employer ID#

 Must have 300 or fewer employees

 Must be a business, no State Agencies/Localities/Municipalities
