POTOMAC TWO-STEP

Israel’s twin airstrikes over the weekend have complicated the Obama administration‘s stance on Syria, and have led some to believe that the best solution may be to stay out of the fighting all together.

The former director of Policy Planning for the State Department, on the other hand, is adamant about the US’ role in stopping the violence and has doubled down on her position an intervention may be necessary, on humanitarian grounds.
