Really? More boot camp?
In the DoD, we’re seeing that constant training is becoming a priority so the federal workforce can remain agile and have tomorrow’s skills to combat challenges the US is facing today.
But we’re talking about a different type of boot camp: one for the digital age.
As military members near their ETS date, they should keep training in mind. Re-skilling and up-skilling should be a personal goal as you enter this new workforce. But transitioning from the military is not an easy feat and service members sometimes don’t have a handle on what they want to do in their civilian lives. Setting goals takes time and usually requires a trusted mentor.
After the structure of serving in the military, the daunting military transition can feel like being thrown to the wolves. But there are programs that support individuals through this process with things like goal setting, creating roadmaps for re-skilling / training, and facilitating employment after up-skilling.
Galvanize is that boot camp for the digital age. It is a school for engineers, entrepreneurs, and data scientists with a flexible blended-learning platform providing curriculum to individuals seeking out today’s critical technology skills. This is a seminar for veterans with the drive and determination to re-skill, up-skill and create their own success story.

Galvanize is a resource that assists transitioning military specifically through programs like Operation LevelUp, a partnership with the Fort Hood Soldier for Life Career Skills Program. This is an 18-week Software Engineering Immersive to active-duty army soldiers in their last 6 months of service, and supplies the tools to secure technical employment after their transition. The tools they are supplying to better aid Veterans and transitioning service members into meaningful careers include mentorship, guest lectures, transition services, counseling, and the course, of course.
Galvanize graduates are employed at some of the top tech companies, including a few of ClearanceJobs’ enterprise partners.
