In this session, she argues that AI isn’t just another trend—it’s a practical game changer for how recruiters write, search, screen, and engage candidates.

Debra begins with the foundation: the job description. Instead of pasting an entire posting into search fields, she encourages recruiters to strip it down to the “nuts and bolts” — core requirements, clearance level, and location. Those essentials can then be fed into tools like NotebookLM and Perplexity to generate structured prompts, refine requirements, and even produce tailored interview questions.

From there, she demonstrates how AI can build Boolean strings and core-skills-specific searches that plug directly into ClearanceJobs IntelliSearch. Recruiters can move from broad results to highly targeted candidate pools, faster and with more consistency across the team.

Debra also shows how to upload resumes and internal assessments into NotebookLM to create unbiased comparison tables. By asking AI to focus only on the data provided—and to support OFCCP-compliant decision-making—recruiters get clearer insights into top candidates based on skills, certifications, and role-specific needs.

The session then shifts to engagement. AI can draft welcome messages, offer and decline letters, status updates, and broadcast messages—while recruiters layer in personalization so outreach feels human, not templated.

Finally, Debra highlights one of ClearanceJobs’ most powerful features: workflows. By combining AI-built search criteria with workflow automation, recruiters can connect with candidates while they’re live on the site, receive alerts on “needle in a haystack” profiles, and keep critical pipelines warm without manually refreshing searches.

Her message is simple: AI won’t replace cleared recruiters—but recruiters who learn to pair AI with ClearanceJobs will be faster, smarter, and better aligned to the mission.
