Mobile recruiting is a growing trend as companies continue to use social strategies in their recruiting efforts.

Post 9/11, intel contract work has been increasing. Fallout from the NSA leak could turn up the heat on private sector firms. At a minimum, cleared contractors should consider a stricter screening process with perhaps, the pendulum swinging towards more government jobs, as opposed to contract work.

Who’s Hiring

Dayton based company, Integrity Applications is ramping up to win a $960 million contract with National Air and Space Center at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. The ATEP II contract will be awarded to four prime contractors, although additional subcontractors are expected to be used, as well. DC-area contractors Invertix Corp and SOS International Ltd. have moved offices in order to be contenders in the contract.

Cloud computing and secure mobile devices are two areas where the DOD is hoping to acquire more strength – cleared professionals with skills in these areas will continue to be in demand. Be sure your talent pool includes cleared professionals with skills in cloud computing  and software deployment in classified environments.

DOD is pushing to do another Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC); however Congress is pushing back due to the high cost of the 2005 BRAC implementation process. DOD is looking to reduce its footprint in Europe. With the reduction in force, there has to be a reduction in facility. If all is finally approved, it could mean more movement of military, civilian, and contractors.
