DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE CONTRACTS VALUED AT $7 MILLION AND ABOVE

AIR FORCE

United Launch Services LLC, Centennial, Colorado, has been awarded a $269,235,964 modification (P00149) to previously awarded contract FA8811-13-C-0003 to execute a requirement for fiscal 2017 launch vehicle (LV) production services in support of the launch vehicle configuration of an Air Force Delta IV Heavy. This modification adds a preā€priced contract line item for the Delta IV Heavy LV configuration. Work will be performed at Centennial, Colorado; Decatur, Alabama; and Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Florida, and is expected to be complete by April 30, 2020. Fiscal 2016 and 2017 space procurement funds in the amount of $85,800,000 are being obligated at the time of award. Space and Missile Systems Center, Los Angeles Air Force Base, California, is the contracting activity.

Raytheon Co., Missile Systems, Tucson, Arizona, has been awarded a $24,993,572 firm-fixed-price contract for Griffin A Block /III missiles. Work will be performed at Tucson, Arizona, and is expected to be complete by Dec. 1, 2017. This award is the result of a sole-source acquisition. Fiscal 2016 and 2017 procurement funds in the amount of $24,993,572 are being obligated at the time of award. Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Eglin Air Force Base, Florida, is the contracting activity (FA8656-17-C-0006).

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

WGL Energy Services Inc., Vienna, Virginia, (SPE600-17-D-7505, $60,855,636); and Direct Energy Business Marketing LLC, Iselin, New Jersey, (SPE600-17-D-7504, $25,261,858), have each been awarded a fixed-price with economic-price-adjustment contract under solicitation SPE600-16-R-0411 for natural gas. These were competitive acquisitions with 12 offers received. They are 24-month contracts with a six-month extension option period. Locations of performance are Pennsylvania, Maryland, Washington District of Columbia, New York, Delaware, New Jersey and Virginia, with a March 31, 2019, performance completion date. Using customers are Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard and federal civilian agencies. Type of appropriation is fiscal 2017 through fiscal 2019 defense working capital funds. Jianas Brothers, Kansas City, Missouri, has been awarded a maximum $43,367,672 firm-fixed-price contract for beverage base components for meals, ready to eat. This was a competitive acquisition with eight responses received. This is a five-year contract with no option periods. Terrapin Utility Services Inc., Joint Base Andrews, Maryland, has been awarded a maximum $7,490,132 modification (P00094) to a 50-year contract (SP0600-05-C-8250) with no option periods to reconcile the water/wastewater operations and maintenance and renewal and replacement due to the transfer in ownership of all assets installed through third party construction projects via an amended bill of sale from the contract start date through July 25, 2016. This is a fixed-price contract. Location of performance is Maryland, with a Jan. 2, 2056, performance completion date. Using military service is Air Force. NAVY

Compass Systems Inc.,* Lexington Park, Maryland, is being awarded a $27,424,962 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for the procurement of materials engineering, non-materials engineering, and non-technical management support of the efforts involved in the development of new technology, acquisition of new aircraft, and sustainment of fielded aircraft. Work will be performed in Patuxent River, Maryland (93 percent); Jacksonville, Florida (4 percent); and Crystal City, Virginia (3 percent), and is expected to be completed in January 2022. No funding will be obligated at time of award. Funding will be obligated on individual delivery orders as they are issued. Thales Defense & Security Inc., Clarksburg, Maryland, is being awarded a $14,120,101 firm-fixed-price contract for the procurement of the Optimized TopOwl Helmet Mounted Sight and Display System depot level specialized test equipment in support of the Marine Corps H-1 aircraft. In addition, this contract provides for associated installation and integration, and technical data rights for technical specifications, drawings, schematics, and procedures required to establish depot level support. Work will be performed in Bordeaux, France (63 percent); and San Diego, California (37 percent), and is expected to be completed in May 2019. Fiscal 2015 aircraft procurement (Navy) funds in the amount of $14,120,101 will be obligated at time of award, all of which will expire at the end of the fiscal year. BAE Systems, Land and Armaments LP, Minneapolis, Minnesota, is being awarded a $7,300,857 modification to a previously awarded contract (N00024-14-C-5324) to exercise options for fiscal 2017 shipboard pierside maintenance and repairs of MK 45 gun mounts, ordnance alteration installations of MK 45 gun mounts and associated alteration installation services and consumables to support shipboard pierside maintenance and repairs and ordnance alteration. Work will be performed in Norfolk, Virginia (35 percent); San Diego, California (35 percent); Mayport, Florida (5 percent); Everett, Washington (5 percent); Yokosuka, Japan (5 percent); Honolulu, Hawaii (5 percent); Rota, Spain (5 percent); and various other fleet concentration areas (5 percent), and is expected to be completed by September 2017. Fiscal 2017 weapons procurement (Navy) funding in the amount of $999,812 will be obligated at time of award and contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. ARMY

Technica LLC,* Charleston, South Carolina, was awarded a $19,238,218 modification (P0004) to contract W52P1J-12-G-0018 for an enhanced Army global logistics enterprise task order for the Fort Bliss, Texas, logistics readiness center maintenance division. The division provides field and sustainment level maintenance support to the Fort Bliss tactical units and government civilian activities. Work will be performed in Fort Bliss, Texas, with an estimated completion date of Dec. 2, 2017. Fiscal 2017 operations and maintenance (Army) funds in the amount of $19,238,218 were obligated at the time of the award. Army Contracting Command, Fort Bliss, Texas, is the contracting activity.

Ceradyne Inc., Irvine, California, was awarded a $10,797,045 modification (P00018) to contract W91CRB-14-C-0005 for procurement of 6,518 integrated head protection systems which is a subcomponent of the Soldier Protection System.
