Vigor Marine LLC, Portland, Oregon, is being awarded a $24,412,704 firm-fixed-price contract for a 120-calendar day shipyard availability for the regular overhaul and dry docking of USS Frank Cable (AS 40). Work will include tank inspections, freeboard preservation, sewage tank preservation, engine room bulkhead/structural repairs, main reduction gear repairs, air conditioning plant repairs, high and low pressure turbine inspections, generator inspections, 30- and 5-ton crane repairs, heating, ventilation and air conditioning system cleaning, underwater hull preservation and propulsion shafting removal and inspection. The contract includes options which, if exercised, would bring the total contract value to $28,301,542. Work will be performed in Portland, Oregon, and is expected to be completed by Aug. 4, 2017. Fiscal 2017 operations and maintenance (Navy) funds in the amount of $24,412,704 are being obligated at the time of award. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. PSI Pax Inc.,* California, Maryland, is being awarded a $23,769,637 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, cost-plus-fixed-fee, cost type contract for the procurement of professional and management support services essential to the Combat Integration and Identification Systems Division. These task orders include systems design, engineering, integration, installation, training, operational support, and in-service engineering for ship and shore combat identification, air traffic control, command, control, and communication systems. Work will be performed at Webster Field, St. Inigoes, Maryland, and is expected to be completed in March 2022. Funds are not being obligated at time of award; funds will be obligated on individual orders as they are issued. Florida State University Center for Advanced Power Systems (FSU CAPS), Tallahassee, Florida, is being awarded a $13,325,445 cost-only modification to a previously awarded contract (N00024-12-C-4220) for research and development activities associated with modeling, simulation and testing of Navy advanced shipboard electrical power systems and components. FSU CAPS will develop real-time models to test advanced shipboard electrical system components in power-hardware-in-the-loop and control-hardware-in-the-loop testing methodologies. FSU CAPS will also perform studies and analysis, conduct design, develop, and validation of models for advanced shipboard electrical system components and for the entire architecture. This contract modification provides supplemental material and exercises options associated with the third planning year period. RCOH includes ship checks, design, documentation, engineering, fabrication and preliminary shipyard or support facility work to prepare for the RCOH accomplishment on CVN 73. Work is being performed in Newport News, Virginia, and is expected to be complete by August 2017. Arête Associates, Tucson, Arizona, is being awarded an $8,522,000 modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract (N61331-11-C-0007) for the engineering, manufacturing, production and delivery of AN/DVS-1 Coastal Battlefield Reconnaissance and Analysis (COBRA) Block 1 subassemblies to support the Littoral Combat Ship Mine Countermeasures Mission. The primary mission of AN/DVS-1 COBRA Program is to conduct unmanned aerial tactical reconnaissance in littoral battlespace for detection and localization of mine fields and obstacles in the surf zone and beach zone prior to amphibious assault.
