All Native Group (ANG), which is actually a network of small businesses that support the critical missions of various U.S. government customers, recently announced the opening of its latest satellite office in Colorado Springs, CO. The private, tribally-owned and operated government services provider specializes in information technology (IT), telecommunications, health, logistics, specialized training and other professional services in the government sector. ANG supports a breadth of government agencies including the Department of Defense , Department of State and Department of Labor.

ANG is a division of Ho-Chunk, Inc., the economic development corporation of the Winnebago people of Nebraska. Ho-Chunk was founded in 1994 with just one employee and has grown into a diversified corporation that includes numerous subsidiaries with more than 1,000 employees from a variety of ethnic backgrounds and skill sets. All Native Group earned its first federal contract as a subcontractor in 2004, and since entering the SBA 8(a) program, it has seen steady growth by offering its services to the federal government.

Through its work with government customers, ANG has been able to make a lasting impact on the Winnebago Tribe, and since the year 2000 it has contributed more than $1.7 million in down payment assistance, allowing tribal members to buy homes. Many of those individuals were the first in their families to even own a home, and from 2000 to 2016 the jobs created on reservations has helped push the poverty rate down by 6%.  In addition, Winnebago culture has been revitalized through ANG’s strong community partnerships that are bringing back traditional customs, inspiring new entrepreneurs, improving health outcomes and even teaching the Ho-Chunk language.

“We strive to create a high-performing and inclusive culture where employees from diverse backgrounds can make a lasting impact in a very major way,” Heath Rist, CEO of ANG, told ClearanceJobs. “As a tribally owned company, our mission is to better the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska while providing the best solutions and services to our customers. Our profits are invested back into the Winnebago community to support tribal education, employment, housing, and health.”

Rist added that ANG takes a lead in providing opportunities for Native Americans in the government sector.

“Our presence in the government contracting space is opening doors and creating opportunities for Native Americans, which were previously unavailable,” explained Rist. “Bringing new perspectives and backgrounds into our company allows us to develop better solutions that service our customers’ needs more effectively.”

The firm holds several notable certifications that enable it to provide key services to partner government agencies. It has ISO 9001 certification and is CMMI- SVC Maturity Level 3 appraised. Some divisions with ANG also hold SBA 8(a) and HUBZone certifications.

“Continual training is critical for us. Making sure our employees are up-to-date with standards and protocols allows us to better service our customers in every setting,” said Rist. “Each government program we operate is staffed with professional, experienced, and enthusiastic employees ready to make an impact.”

Recent Contracts for all native group

Last year the company was selected to provide information technology support for the U.S. Army’s Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM) at Fort Huachuca, AZ, supporting the command’s operations around the globe. As part of this contract the All Native Group was tasked with monitoring NETCOM networks and various digital assets to ensure a continued state of cybersecurity. In addition, All Native Group was contracted to manage those assets and be able to rapidly respond should any of the systems become vulnerable to a cyber attack.

“Our country’s enemies don’t just carry out acts of aggression on the battlefield anymore. Instead, we face a constant barrage of digital attacks,” said Tim Blaszkow, ANG’s director of information technology, cyber, and telecommunications, via a statement. “With this contract, All Native Group will help keep our Soldiers around the world linked up and cyber safe.”

In addition, last year All Native Group was also contracted to provide support to the Defense Health Agency (DHA), Solutions Delivery Division (SDD) to establish effective cybersecurity for a variety of systems under the DHA umbrella. The firm was called upon to assist SDD in its transition to systems compliant with the guidelines established by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). Per that contract, All Native Group would perform installation and maintenance of the necessary systems during a 5-year, $20 million contract.

The opening of All Native Group’s Colorado office is the latest move for the company as it expands its reach and expertise in the government IT and cybersecurity space.
