The year started off slow in DoD contracting, but as the month progressed, the award amount rapidly increased. January 31 placed on the top 10 list three times, with its top contracts totaling $2,854,950,963.00 on just one day. And that’s not counting the other contracts awarded on the last day of the month. And the other heavy hitter on the list was the Army – with five out of the 10 top biggest contracts for January. The month may have ramped up slowly with the number of contract awards, as well as the amount, but it’s clear that the DoD ended with a few heavy-hitters by the end of January. They are listed here in order of highest to lowest for the month of January.
