Investing in the next generation talent is a rewarding venture that CACI wholeheartedly supports. Over the years, CACI has grown their college recruiting and internship program efforts, and their efforts yielded 300 interns in the summer of 2021. Even with COVID-19 impacting in-person events and work life, CACI was still able to support and grow their interns.

CACI Builds Talent WIth Internship Program

The key to success in national security is agility, and when CACI was faced with changes to workplace structures, due to the pandemic, they were able to offer a hybrid approach for their interns, providing virtual and on-site options, depending on the program.

And depending on the program, CACI has been able to sponsor clearances for their interns. Some interns are able to be sponsored prior to their start date, and for others, after performing well on unclassified work, they are able to be submitted for classified work on upcoming projects. CACI believes in growing talent, so currently, 85% of their interns receive and offer to return to the company for additional internship work or for a full-time position. Clearly, an internship is less about getting short-term support or someone to get the coffee order, and more about building talent to meet the needs of long term opportunities.

CACI Makes a Future Investment

But it’s not just a recruiting strategy. It’s an investment into the future. CACI offers interns meaningful work. Whether it’s solving complex cyber problems or creating code as a software engineer, CACI interns are impacting national security and meeting mission goals. Leadership at CACI offers weekly enrichment seminars, in order to pour into the interns, providing insight and growth opportunities on necessary soft skills, as well as, panel discussions from key champions in the organization. From a kickoff with the CEO to ongoing leadership discussion, CACI supports the overall growth of their interns throughout the internship process – in spite of a global pandemic.

Over the years, CACI has been able to make strategic partnerships with various schools and universities, in order to not only attract talent, but also to help faculty shape curriculum. But with almost 100 schools represented in the internship program, CACI has been focused on recruiting nationwide to attract college interns. There are many ways to find a path into a CACI internship.
