When choosing a career field, it can be difficult to choose one that not only will be in high demand in 10 years, but also one that pays well and provides a sense of rewarding work. These seven listed below all three criteria.

7 High-Paying and Rewarding Jobs

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), these careers in general pay over $100,000 per year, require at least a bachelor’s degree and will be in high demand out through 2033. What is different about these from most job lists is that only two are in the medical field.

1. Software Developer

Professionals in this field design computer software applications or programs. Entry into the field usually requires a four-year degree in computer and information technology or a related field.

2. Data Scientist

This type of work involves using analytical tools and techniques to create meaningful insights from data. Those entering the field have a degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science or some other related field.

  • Number of Projected Job Openings: 40,500

3. Medical and Health Services Manager

In this managerial role, they plan, direct and coordinate business activities of a healthcare facility whether that be a clinical or hospital or other type of medical facility setting.

  • Number of Projected Job Openings: 136,200

4. Financial Advisor

People turn to financial advisor when they need help managing their money and planning their financial future.

5. Physician Assistant

In this medical field, PAs examine, diagnose, and treat patients while under the supervision of a physician. In some states, they may also prescribe medicines.

6. Cybersecurity Analyst

This field will continue to develop and grow as does the number of cybersecurity incidents each year around d the world. Analysts plan and carry out security measures  in an effort to increase protection to an organization’s computer network and computer systems.

7. Web Developer

As the title suggests, web developers create and maintain websites using a variety of software platforms.
