NASA has begun processing 2,115 contract awards to approximately 1,490 vendors under the sixth generation of its Solutions for Enterprise-wide Procurement (SEWP VI) Government-wide Acquisition Contract. The next-generation contract vehicle provides federal agencies with streamlined access to commercial technology products and services, including hardware, software, cloud computing, cybersecurity tools, engineering and consulting services, and data-intensive mission support capabilities.

The awards span three competitive categories covering IT solutions, enterprise-wide IT services, and mission-based IT services. Each indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract has a 10-year ordering period running from November 1, 2026 through October 31, 2036, with a $20 billion maximum ceiling value per contract. The dramatic expansion to more than 2,100 awards—up from roughly 150 contract holders under SEWP V—is expected to significantly broaden the pool of companies eligible to compete for future federal IT task orders.

Contract Opportunities: Booz Allen

Booz Allen has secured a $13.7 million contract to help U.S. Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) implement an integrated cybersecurity ecosystem aligned with the Department of War’s Zero Trust strategy. The effort will support USTRANSCOM’s progress toward meeting the department’s Zero Trust Target Level requirements by delivering capabilities for security orchestration, automation and response (SOAR), software-defined perimeter, and API management.

The award also highlights the competitive demand for federal cybersecurity work. USTRANSCOM received 70 proposals in response to a single SAM.gov solicitation before selecting Booz Allen for the contract. The work will be managed by USTRANSCOM at Scott Air Force Base, IL.

Cleared Opportunities

Less than a year after relocating its headquarters from Denver to Tampa, defense contractor Orion Edge is expanding its Florida operations with a $6 million investment over the next three years. The company has leased a new 8,008-square-foot headquarters in Tampa’s Westshore District and plans to create 25 new jobs with an average annual salary of $120,000. Employees are expected to move into the new office in early August.

Orion Edge specializes in tactical electronic warfare and counter-uncrewed aircraft systems, supporting U.S. military and special operations missions. The company said its proximity to U.S. Special Operations Command at MacDill Air Force Base has been a key driver of its growth since relocating to Tampa in late 2025. Local economic development leaders said the expansion highlights the region’s growing defense technology sector and reinforces Tampa’s position as a hub for national security and defense innovation.
