“We understand that candidates have many choices. It’s a very competitive industry, the IT industry,” noted Maria Whitney, senior recruiter at Smartronix. “But we strive to find the best fit, not only for Smartronix, but for our client.”

Smartronix uses a number of strategies to attract talent, including an external referral bonus program. When recruiters reach out to candidates, they’re looking to build relationships regardless of whether that individual is immediately ready to make a move or not, noted Whitney.

Cleared talent makes the world go round at Smartronix,” said Laurell Aiton, Vice President of Human Resources at Smartronix. Eighty percent of Smartronix employees are cleared, and half of those are cleared at the top secret level.
