NAVY
Raytheon Co., Tucson, Arizona, was awarded a $37,503,038 cost-plus-fixed-fee modification to a previously awarded contract (N00024-16-C-5433) to exercise options in support Evolved Sea Sparrow Missile (ESSM) design agent, in-service support, and technical engineering support services. The ESSM program is an international cooperative effort to design, develop, test, and procure ESSM missiles. The ESSM provides enhanced ship defense. Work will be performed in Tucson, Arizona (71.8 percent); Raufoss, Norway (7 percent); Ottobrunn, Germany (6.8 percent); Hengelo OV, Netherlands (5.6 percent); Richmond, Australia (3.7 percent); Mississauga, Canada (2 percent); Madrid, Spain (1 percent); Ankara, Turkey (1 percent); Grenaa, Denmark (0.70 percent); and Koropi, Greece (0.40 percent), and is expected to be completed by December 2018. Fiscal 2018 other procurement (Navy) funds in the amount of $10,284,617 will be obligated at time of award and will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole-source contract pursuant to an international agreement between the U.S.; and nine other countries. Melwood Inc., Upper Marlboro, Maryland, was awarded an $18,552,775 firm-fixed-price contract for base operations at Fort Meade, Maryland. One bid was solicited with one bid received. Work will be performed in Fort Meade, Maryland, with an estimated completion date of Dec. 31, 2018. Fiscal 2018 operations and maintenance (Army) funds in the amount of $9,472,666 were obligated at the time of the award. U.S. Army Mission and Installation Contracting Command, Fort Belvoir, Virginia, is the contracting activity (W91QV1-18-C-0008).
AIR FORCE
General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Inc., Poway, California, has been awarded a $14,151,324 cost-plus-fixed-fee and firm-fixed-price undefinitized contract action modification (P00021) to a previously awarded contract (FA8620-16-C-3003) for the MQ-9 Block 5 kits, to include extended-range kits, beyond-line-of-sight kits and Barrett Asymmetrical Digital Datalink Computer Routers. Work will be performed in Poway, California, with an expected completion date of Feb. 21, 2021. Fiscal 2017 procurement funds in the amount of $1,186,800 are being obligated at time of award. Medium Altitude Unmanned Aerial Systems Division, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity.
