Who’s Firing

Bell Helicopter, a Fort Worth manufacturer, is expected to layoff 290 employees. No one is spared…the layoffs cover hourly, salary, management, and non-management employees. The layoffs are due to a reduced aircraft need, specifically the V-22 Osprey tilt-rotor aircraft.

Boeing has eight years of production lined up, but more layoffs could be in the future for the company – again. Aircraft interior engineers are the next in line to face upcoming cutbacks. As of August, Boeing has reduced its workforce 2,176.

Who’s Growing

Digital Prospectors Corp (DPC) is moving its headquarters to Stratham Industrial Park in Exeter, NH. For seven years in a row, DPC has been included on the Inc 5000 list of fastest growing companies. With the office size doubling, DPC will be looking to hire fifteen new positions in the beginning of November.
