DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE CONTRACTS VALUED AT $6.5 MILLION AND ABOVE

AIR FORCE

The Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, Massachusetts, has been awarded a $3,061,852,854 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for the operation of the Lincoln Laboratory Federally Funded Research and Development Center. Contractor will apply advanced technology to problems of national security. Research and development activities focus on long-term technology development as well as rapid system prototyping and demonstration. Work will be performed in Lexington, Massachusetts, and is expected to be complete by March 31, 2020. This award is the result of a sole-source acquisition. Fiscal 2015 operations and maintenance funds in the amount of $600,000 are being obligated at the time of award. Air Force Lifecycle Management Center, Hanscom Air Force Base, Massachusetts, is the contracting activity (FA8702-15-D-0001).

Cantu Services Inc., Wichita Falls, Texas, has been awarded an $8,532,462 firm-fixed-price contract for Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, full-food service. This contract provides for full-food service to seven dining facilities. The location of performance is Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey. The work is expected to be complete by April 30, 2016. This award is the result of a competitive acquisition with nine offers received. Funds will be obligated on individual task orders. The 87th Contracting Squadron, Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey, is the contracting activity (FA4484-15-D-0003).

DRS Sensors & Targeting Systems Inc., Cypress, California, has been awarded a $7,296,089 cost-plus fixed-fee contract for research and development for detector array development. Work will be performed in Cypress, California, and is expected to be complete by Jan. 27, 2017. This award is the result of a competitive acquisition with 19 offers received. Fiscal 2015 research, development, test and evaluation funds in the amount of $4,236,329 are being obligated at the time of award. Air Force Research Laboratory, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (FA8650-15-C-7538).

AEgis Technologies Group Inc., Huntsville, Alabama, has been awarded a $6,720,457 delivery order (0042) to previously awarded contract FA8707-11-D-0003 for primary research and development activities. The contract provides for change requests, architecture modernization and software engineering activities. Work will be performed in Huntsville, Alabama, and Lexington, Massachusetts, and is expected to be complete by Jan. 31, 2016. Fiscal 2015 research, development, test and evaluation funds in the amount of $4,700,000 are being obligated at the time of award. Air Force Lifecycle Management Center, Hanscom Air Force Base, Massachusetts, is the contracting activity.

NAVY

Insight Pacific LLC,* Anaheim, California, is being awarded $20,517,728 for firm-fixed-price task order 0004 under a previously awarded multiple award construction contract (N62478-14-D-4000) for the repair and renovation of the Air Mobility Command passenger terminal at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam. The work to be performed provides for repair of the existing facility, renovation to improve the in-bound and out-bound passenger processing, and compliance with current codes, requirements and accessibility standards. Work will be performed in Oahu, Hawaii, and is expected to be completed by March 2018. Fiscal 2015 working capital funds (transportation) contract funds in the amount of $20,517,728 are being obligated on this award and will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Four proposals were received for this task order. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Hawaii, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, is the contracting activity.
Coltec Industries Inc., doing business as Fairbanks Morse Engine, Beloit, Wisconsin, is being awarded a $9,887,467 firm-fixed-price contract for Man Diesel-Semt Pielstick PC4.2 diesel engine parts to support overhauls and repairs to the main propulsion diesel engines for USNS Big Horn (T-AO 198) and the USNS Laramie (T-AO 203). Work will be performed on both East and West coasts at shipyards yet to be determined. Final engine parts procured in support of this overhaul/repair work are expected to be delivered into the Military Sealift Command supply system not later than Dec. 9, 2015. Fiscal 2015 operations and maintenance funds in the amount of $9,887,447 are being obligated at the time of award and will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with proposals solicited via the Federal Business Opportunities website, with one offer received. The Navy’s Military Sealift Command, Washington, District of Columbia, is the contracting activity (N32205-15-C-3011).

ARMY

Sprint Communications Co. LP, Reston, Virginia, was awarded a $10,192,627 modification (P00010) to contract W9124D-12-D-0040 for cellular phone services for the Army Human Resources Command and its subordinate commands. Work will be performed at Ft. Knox, Kentucky, with an estimated completion date of April 28, 2016. Fiscal 2015 operations and maintenance (Army) funds in the amount of $6,260,067 were obligated at the time of the award. Army Contracting Command, Ft. Knox, Kentucky, is the contracting activity.
