There’s a reason National Landing is the new home of Amazon’s HQ2, and a growing number of major IT players are choosing to make a home in Northern Virginia. The intersection of a diverse range in career opportunities across the government and commercial sector, the plethora of educational institutions investing in building the talent pool, and proximity to partners and collaborators makes Northern Virginia the ideal location for many tech companies.

And after making their way through two years of COVID-19, quarantines, and changing demands for technology (the pandemic ushered in great waves of challenge and opportunity across the technical spectrum), key players in the Northern Virginia technology scene came out to celebrate at the NVTC Tech 100. The event recognizes cutting-edge companies and rising stars in the region’s tech industry.

“While our nation continues to adapt to our new normal of living during a global pandemic, I am pleased that Virginia continues to be a leading tech hub of flourishing businesses and career opportunities. The NVTC Tech 100 honorees help make our region a vibrant and inclusive place to live, work and learn,” said Jennifer Taylor, president and CEO of NVTC.

The event also honored outgoing NVTC president Bobbie Kilberg, who left NVTC in 2020 after 22 years leading the organization as it supported the national capital region’s technology community.

For members who haven’t gathered in more than a year, the event offered a critical opportunity to collaborate, network, and celebrate.
