Who’s Hiring

Raytheon and Lockheed’s Javelin Joint Venture has received a $176 million contract. The contractors will be producing missile rounds and command launch units on the contract. Delivery date is October 2014.

Who’s Growing

It’s not all doom and gloom news for defense contractors working the sequestration budget. One contractor has found a way to rake in $38.6 million in new contracts since the beginning of October 2013. Kratos Defense & Security Solutions is slated to grow revenue 266% in the coming year.

ViaSat Inc is also growing despite sequestration. ViaSat reported an 11% increase or $129 million in revenue from July to October. Despite shrinking defense budgets, providing government command and control networks and intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance hardware continues to be a growing business. ViaSat continues to grow with a strong partnership with Boeing on one venture and with a portfolio that lines up well with the defense department’s current budget.

Who’s Acquiring

A-T Solutions has acquired Green-Line Systems. Green-line will add big data capabilities to A-T Solutions counterterrorism work. Once Green-Line’s Arlington lease ends, they will move to A-T Solution’s Tyson Corner office.
