Tips for Applying with GDIT
Because there are a variety of positions available, read the job description and make sure your skills fit. Have military training or experience? Indicate that in your resume, and make sure to list the tools or skill sets you see in the position description.
“It is always helpful to compare your resume and the job description side-by-side,” said Zelkoski “Then, make sure your resume reflects your experience with the IT tools listed. It may be helpful to list the specific IT skills at the top of your resume, along with your level of experience – that will easily show the recruiter you’re qualified for the position.”
If you have military training or experience with the IT systems, list that, as well. Be honest about your familiarity, but also your willingness to step in and learn on the job.
